Magpul FAL, G3 And AR-15 Precision Sniper Stocks

The Magpul PRS is a fully adjustable precision sniper stock for the Stoner series rifles. Made of fiber reinforced polymer, the stock is immensely strong. The adjustment knobs are machined from aluminium with phosphated alloy steel shafts. Compared to the standard A2 fixed stock the LOP can be reduced by 0.25" or increased by 0.75". The hieight of the comb can be adjusted by 0.75" and it is also possible to move the cheek weld up to 0.65" fore or aft with allen bolts. A positive locking detent mechanism prevents the 0.026" click adjustments from moving inadvertently. An enhanced strength butt plate withstands impacts and is rated up to 0.50" BMG. Slippage is prevented by a soft rubber butt plate, a longer enhanced version of which can be purchased. A 1.25" sling loop at the front of the stock can be moved from side to side. A reversible QD swivel (push button type) mount is mounted in the middle of the stock. The Magpul PRS stock differs from previous versions in having a cover at the bottom that slips off to reveal a Picatinny accessory rail which can be used to attach a monopod or sling swivel. The PRS for the AR-15, M-4 and M-16 rifle is available in black, dark earth, OD green and foliage green. The stock attaches to the rifle's receiver extension tube without the A2 spacer which is not included with the stock. A specific .308 PRS version is made to suit the charging handle clearance of SR-25 and AR-10 rifles. The AR-10/SR-25 version is currently only manufactured in black. AR specific stocks can be converted to .308 configuration with help from Magpul.

Magpul wanted to extend the benefits of the PRS stock beyond the Stoner system rifles. The FN FAL and G3 were obvious candidates. The FAL version only fits fixed stock metric rifles and will not fit folding stock paratrooper variants or any of the inch pattern British Commonwealth FALs.  This version lacks the bottom accessory rail. As with the PRS the Magpul FAL stock offers the feel of a true target rifle stock in a unit which can withstand the rigors of protracted military operations. The stock can add 1.25" on the LOP of a factory FN FAL. It can also help cure the nose heaviness of the FAL. Unlike the AR PRS the sling loop is vertical and attached near the butt of the rifle.

The G3 version of the PRS2 has an interface to fit the G3 series of rifles. It also helps with balance of the otherwise nose heavy HK. The HK-91, HK-93, HK-33, PTR-91 and SL-9 rifles are also suitable for this stock. Use on the CETME requires some gunsmithing. The Magpul G3 stock does not work with the HK heavy buffer. The PRS2 also has a lenghtened rubber buttpad available specific to this model.
