Male Version Bringing Change Into Your Life
Male Version
Proverbs 17:5-7 He who mocks the poor shows contempt for their Maker; whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished. Children's children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.
God made you man. He made you master. You were hand made. You were not made on an assembly line. There is no commonality to you. Not even your DNA is the same. You were fashioned by the master's hands and therefore uniquely made. Your formation was not a mistake, an accident that was not ordained. Where you got in trouble was the use of your free will. God had a book of instructions written for you so that you could learn how to master yourself and conduct your life in an honorable fashion. He was clear in His instruction when He said follow me. I am your example. He gave you a choice. Follow me and live. He did not say follow your best buddy. Because God made you in His own image He put certain requirements on your conduct. You were not supposed to do certain things. How could He be All Mighty God and have His sons act and live beneath themselves? He said there were certain things you could do and there were certain behaviors you were not supposed to include in your life. You are a part of Him. How can you participate in behaviors less than yourself? How can you wallow in the murk and mire and be God's creation? How can you live beneath yourself and be a part of God. How can you lie, cheat, and steal and be the Master's son?
If you are having problems with the use of the word referring to you as God's child read the following verses. In these verses God is talking to man about fornication, adultery, and loose women. He gives man this advice and He refers to man by using the word son. This is how God spoke to man several times in the Bible
Proverbs 8:32-33 "Now then, my sons, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways. Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not ignore it.
Proverbs 4:1-3 Listen, my sons, to a father's instruction; pay attention and gain understanding. I give you sound learning, so do not forsake my teaching.
Proverbs 5:7-8 Now then, my sons, listen to me; do not turn aside from what I say. Keep to a path far from her, do not go near the door of her house,
Proverbs 7:23-25 till an arrow pierces his liver, like a bird darting into a snare, little knowing it will cost him his life. Now then, my sons, listen to me; pay attention to what I say. Do not let your heart turn to her ways or stray into her paths.
When you read the Bible, you will notice the behaviors that man were not supposed to do were specific and less numerous. God gave man plenty of leeway. He gave you free will. From the beginning God told man, man must work. The first job God gave man was tending the Garden of Eden. Therefore, working must be considered by God a good behavior, a behavior fitting to man. So a man who does not work is out of line with God. He is not following God's instructions to tend his garden. Now if you are born poor you will ask yourself, "What garden am I to tend if I own no land? Well, there is more than one type of garden. This is why God gave man an imagination. God gave you an imagination so you could reach inside yourself and create your garden as God created His garden.
God gave specific instructions to follow Him. Following Him means to do as He did and to do as He does. Your quest is to find out what God does and mimic His behavior. God is still alive. He is still active. The newscasters want you to believe God is dead making you food for their advertisers. They are liars. Do not be deceived. God is not dead, He is merely waiting for your recognition. God spoke light into darkness. You can do the same. Read God's word; allow Him to show you the way. There are passages in the Bible that tell you specifically how to speak life into existence.
All throughout the Bible, God and man have struggled over a code of conduct. God said if you follow me and do what I say to do you will live a long and healthy life.
If you do not do as I say, you will not live a long and healthy life. Year after year God sent His prophets to man warning man of his conduct. Logically speaking, a man hearing God's word should desire a long and healthy life therefore he would do as God dictated. Yet, we know many of you ignored God's warning for whatever reason and went on your merry way doing as you pleased.
Now that you have done as you pleased, turn around and take a look at the days you spent doing as you please. What are the results? Do all of your sons know your name? Do all of your sons know your face? Do all of your sons carry your name? God took great pains to let man know His name. Knowledge is the fruit of a child's existence. Knowing who he is and where he comes from is a child's center. Have you robbed your child of his center? What about the women you have known? Were they not delicious? Oh great times! There were cool days, then hot days. Each day you enjoyed with a new woman always on your arm and in your bed. You basked in the sun yet you turned young women into whores. You made rash judgments and sided with the devil. Oh what a great time you had! You sold white powder to your fellow man and made his daughter a whore. What a great man you were! What power you exuded!
You became a drum leader for the envious one. You became monsters in God's sight. You shamed the creator. You moved away from your moral center. Yet He has so far allowed you to live.
You believe in God even though you committed great sins and lived a riotous life. You still believe in God. So you might as well pick up His book and deal with Him. Now is the time. Read the first chapter of the book of Genesis over and over again. Look at the revelation being revealed. Notice the phrase and God said, and the fact that man was made in God's image. God speaking His world into existence was no accident. Speech is His creative power. Our being made in His image was no accident either. Who better to be made an image of than the creator? Who is greater than He? We are the next best thing to God. We must be important because God has spent centuries trying to get us to change. We have preoccupied God's time. He hasn't gone fishing.
Being a man is not easy and being a poor White man or a poor Black man is definitely not easy, especially since the deck appears to be stacked against you. You were born in a pot of boiling water. But here is where your perception is wrong: the deck is not stacked against you. You only have one problem. Your problem is lack of knowledge. The information you need can be found in books. You must be smart. The first thing you must do is turn off the noise in your life avoid all distractions. Learn how to read and write well. Develop a sense of well being knowing God's word applies to you. Avoid naysayers and people who have given up on life. Do not allow them in your life or to participate in your day. Develop a system to evaluate people before you bring them into your life. Steer clear of any man who does not work. This man is at odds with the very first instruction God made to man.
The reason why you are struggling with yourself is because your internal image needs to change. You took what other men had to say and internalized those words to apply to you. If you change the image you have of yourself on the inside, you will change the image people see and your child will recognize you as the man God called you to be.
God made you men, so stand up and be the man He made, no matter where you find yourself. One moment in time can change your destiny forever. Years ago destiny called two men. These two men did not answer destiny now they live in shame knowing that a young woman called out to them for help when a man was raping and murdering her and these two men failed to help her. To these two men I say: Go to God and He will help you. Do not drink the rest of your life away in shame. Whatever you have done to bring shame up yourself and your father's name repent, go to God. Do not ask for His forgiveness. Prostrate yourself before Him and ask Him, "What will you have me do for my sin against you? You were His love, His greatest creation and you abandoned him. Should you not passionately seek Him as you so wantonly abandoned Him?
Read this passage. Genesis 9:6 "Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made man. God did not make you man by some magic trick. Your making was a deliberate act. This was a passionate act. Creating anything requires passion. You were fashioned by His hand to resemble Him. Is creation not the greatest achievement for man in the world? When you see a man play a guitar and create music, are you not amazed and overcome with joy? When you see a man pick up a trumpet, are you not amazed and glorified at the sounds he produces? Become creators like the force that created you. Glorify your body by caring for your garden. Do not put filth in your body. Your body is the citadel of the Lord. Also go to the book of Judges and read Judges several time. Read the dialogue between Gideon and the Lord. Notice what God says when Gideon tells God he is weak. God talks right over Gideon as if his statement was not applicable to the situation. How many times have you told yourself that you were weak? Did you ask God was your weakness applicable to the situations you were facing in your life? Take note that God sent three hundred men into battle who lapped the water like a dog. Why? Judges 7:5 "Separate those who lap the water with their tongues like a dog from those who kneel down to drink.
Remember God made you man. He did not make you in the image of the envious one (he who cannot create) where you are to crawl and slither on the ground. He gave you a bipedal gait where you can walk upright.
Stand up as men. You must give life all that you can give it. When your day is done, let your son remember your name. You are to learn to read and write and give your soul to your son so your son can carry you into the future. For that is all there is to life, the smile that you have placed on your wife's face after leaving her bed and your son remembering your name! God made you man.
From this moment on regardless of your past sin, you will live and die as the creation God made. The call has gone out over the land. God is calling His sons back to Him.
Now you must answer Him.
You belong to the god who said his name is I AM.
You belong to the god who raised Lazarus from the grave.
You belong to the god who sent his son to earth to redeem you.
You belong to the god who sent Gideon and 300 men who lapped the water into battle.
You belong to the god who made you a companion, allowing you to have seed to live forever.
You belong to the god who held the sun and moon in place to allow his son, Joshua, to win a battle over the Amorites.
You belong to the god who said, I am the only God you cannot fashion with your hands. I can only be seen through your heart.
Does He not have a right to call you back to Him, now that you have strayed and worshipped other gods?
God made you man.
When you take God and put His word in your heart you will be a changed man. When the devil comes to you, you will feel the power of God and you will know that you can resist the devil. You have an absolute to rely upon, an absolute that has been infallible throughout the ages, never failing always reassuring.
This you must remember: you are not defeated when you walk with God. I want you to put this information in your spirit. Say: I am not defeated when I walk with God. No where in the Bible can you find one instance where God was defeated or ever considered defeat. God always spoke in the active voice. He never took a passive position. Even when He was waiting on man to change, God was active. One of the weapons that the devil uses to get man to defeat himself is to convince man that there is no way out. That is a lie. At no time are you defeated when God is sitting next to you.
When you walk with God no one can count you out. This is a change you must make. You must change the way you think. You must learn enough about God to know His method of doing things. Read the following passage. God has told Gideon He wants the Midiantes destroyed. Gideon is telling the Lord that in his estimation he can't do the job. Read God's response. Note the passage of time and the words God uses. Spend time reading this passage. Note how Gideon perceived himself. Gideon saw himself as weak. He was not counting on God to help in the battle. In fact he could not see how God could help him. There were so many Midianites to fight. The Midianites were Jews (descendant of Abraham) who had rebelled and abandoned God and His ways. God had warned them a long time ago but they refused to change. They decided life would be better doing what their buddies suggested (idol worshipper in the area). Besides who was this God no one could see? They were doing all right living on their own without a God. The statues they fashioned out of wood and stone were great gods, who needs a god that can not be seen. God had been long suffering. God sat and watched the Midianites year in and year out go about their business ignoring Him as if He did not exist since they could not see God. Something like the way He has watched you go about your business pretending He did not exist since you cannot see Him.
For your information the Midianites were descendants of Midian, the son produced from the union of Abraham and Keturah (Abraham's concubine). In the book of Proverbs God speaks of sons born outside of marriage. They do not receive the recognition and the constant nurturing from their fathers. Many of these men turn to murder. They are filled with anger from being rejected. Rejection produces rage. Rage unstrained produces violence. Violence can lead to murder. This is why God suggest that man marry and consort only with his wife so all his sons will live in the same household and be subject to the same teaching.
It was the Midianites who sold Joseph in Egypt to Potiphar. No Jew was supposed to be sold into slavery. Joseph was the son of Jacob born to him of Rachael. The line is Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and then Joseph.
When you finish with this passage compare the way Gideon perceived himself and the way Joshua (read the book of Joshua) looked at himself. Joshua was full of spirit. He was full of belief. He was the one who told the Jews, "We can conquer the land." Never did Joshua consider defeat even in the land of giants. You are who you think you are. If you think defeat you are defeated. If you think you are invincible you are invincible. The presence of God in your life makes you invincible because nothing is impossible with God. Was not Cassius Clay invincible when he changed the perception of himself and told the world to call him Mohammed Ali? Was Nelson Mandela invincible when he sat in prison 27 years? His spirit could not be killed. There are hundreds and hundreds of men throughout the world who are invincible because they see themselves as masters, not dogs as the devil want them to believe. Victory is all in the mind, not in the body. The body is only a manifestation of the mind. Think sad and sick and soon the body will look sad and sick. Think health and wealth and the body will glow. There will be a life force in your eyes that you will not be able to dull even when you are trying to hide it from your enemy. There are moments in life when you want your enemy to believe you are defeated. You do not want him to see the life force in your eyes. It takes indomitable strength to appear weak when God's strength is raging inside of you. When you have time read all of Judges Chapter six. Listen to the way God speaks and how He says what He has to say. There is no fat, no wasted words. Every word is precise. The books of Joshua and Judges are excellent subjects to learn the character and nature of God. God is passionate! Why do you think you are passionate? You have the very same nature as God. Why do you think you become angry when you are betrayed or when you have been long suffering? You have the nature of God. He made you in His image. He also demonstrates restraint and self control and He has the capacity to love. Now read the passage:
Judges 6:14-16
14 The LORD turned to him and said, "Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian's hand. Am I not sending you?"
15 "But Lord," Gideon asked, "How can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family."
16 The LORD answered, "I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites together."
God told Gideon to go forward. Those of you that have been in the military understand this type of order. The first sergeant says attack. He does not tell you the plan he says attack and because you have confidence in your training and in the men who trained with you and the leadership, you attack. You do not sit around and tell the first sergeant I don't think we have enough men to win the battle. You do as ordered. You attack. This is why General Patton was such a great leader. He trained his troops. They believed in themselves and they believed in him; so when he told them to march 100 miles they marched.
When God gives you an order, you are to follow Him because there is no force on this earth more formidable than He. God does not believe in losing. He could have left man on earth wallowing in filth with the devil. Remember he destroyed man once by using water. But God was not satisfied. He said he would not do that again. He said He wanted all His sons to return to Him. So He sent Jesus to earth. He allowed Jesus to die and go to hell to redeem of us from our sins. Can you think of a greater sacrifice than the sacrifice Jesus paid for you? God does not like to lose. He has sent a call out through the land. He wants His sons to return to Him. What are you going to do?
